We’re Hiring - do you know your CSS from your elbow?
Wednesday, January 30, 2008
As the lack of posts here indicates - January has been very busy here in MC towers. So busy that we’re looking for help:
We’re looking for a web developer to help with production on a range of client projects.
Work is by contract on a project-by-project basis, but ideally this could work out as a long-term arrangement. You’d work at your place, but come into the office (downtown) for meetings every so often (if you live in Santa Fe). If you’re a great candidate but live in Ballygobackwards or somewhere even more exotic, let me know and we’ll see if we can do some telecommuting magic).
Most of the work would be building pages on new sites and making changes to existing client sites. At least initially, attention to detail and HTML knowledge are more important than design flair - although if you’re a great designer too, that would be great.
You need to be:
- comfortable creating standards-compliant HTML and CSS code
- familiar with setting up and customising blogging/CMS tools such as Wordpress and Expression Engine
- comfortable with photo resizing and optimising for the web
- familiarity with user-centered design techniques and accessibility issues would be great, but isn't required
- PHP experience would be great, but isn't required
We're flexible about exactly how the contracts would work - if you're interested, drop me a line and we can talk.
