New architect’s web site designed
Friday, March 10, 2006
Architects talk about small nicely-done projects being like a ‘little gem’. And we’d like to think the web site we designed for architect Joseph Andrade is heading in that direction.
Joseph was looking for a simple site that showed off his work and also matched his clean modernist approach. But he also didn’t want to spend the earth on it.
We worked on the strategy with him, establishing a solid structure that could also expand as he added more projects and material.
Next stage was the design - spare and easy to use, with lots of white space (of course - it’s an architect’s site). But it also eschews the unnecesasry Flash used in some design-led sites, making it fast to load and forgiving to a wide-range of browsers and connection speeds.
Joseph’s projects are shown to good advantage, and we’re happy with the modest but effective site that we were able to build for him.
